What Dave’s Race 7th Heaven will Support
Since our race against ALS began when Dave was diagnosed in 2017, we have learned a lot about ALS and the needs of the ALS community. Therefore, this year all of our events, like Eddie’s Race, will support 3 different ways to help the ALS community. All 3 of these were chosen specifically by Dave from his research and experiences. They are the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI), Duke Neurology ALS Clinic, and our Patient Assistance & Van Program. Learn more about each of these and how we support them HERE!
Event Notes
ON-TRACK Track Opportunities! During the Car Show you will have the opportunity to drive your car on track in a controlled environment! For a $20 donation you can drive your car at interstate speeds and get a complimentary photo included!
Have you wanted to ride in a REAL Race car?!?! For a donation, you will have the opportunity to go full speed in a fully prepared race car! Please note that long pants and closed toed shoes will be required in order to participate in Ride-Alongs.
Apex Racing Lab will be offering a Sim Competition
For $50 you can get #4 -15 minute sessions ($80 Value)
We will then record lap times and take the average of their best 3 lap times to determine the winners. Prizes will be awarded to the Top 3 Finishers.

Tradd of Tradd’s Photos and Guesswork Photography are scheduled to be there again to capture pictures of your car on and off track. The electronic files of those pictures will be a complimentary gift to you as part of the event!
The chance to help raise funds to end a horrible disease by supporting those in the battle with ALS
HopeDriven is a non-profit organization based out of Roanoke, VA. They will be helping put on the car show again for the 2025 year.
“You may find yourself asking, what does HopeDriven mean? To us, HopeDriven encapsulates our vision and our mission - to use our platform within the car community to help children in need.
Essentially, we are “Driven” to help children and their families find “Hope” in their darkest moments and most difficult of times. As a unit, we know that a car show can’t completely take away the financial burden that these families will endure, but we can have a significant impact towards it and we can also provide them with another reason to fight when they see so many people within their community come together to support them in their time of need. We also know that we can’t possibly help every single family in need, but we can do our part to help as many as we can.
We will be hosting car shows, fundraisers, food drives, and other types of events to do our part to help raise as much money as we can to help children that are in dire need, while raising awareness to rally our community together to support them.”

Raised $36,612.30 - This was our first ever HPDE at Virginia International Raceway in June of 2019. This event was put together in only 6 weeks, but thanks to a lot of great people helping us and the generosity of the racing community, this event did a lot to benefit ALS-TDI.
Raised $49,470.00 - Although our second HPDE at Virginia International Raceway in June of 2020 was greatly impacted by COVID, thanks again to a lot of great people helping us and the generosity of the racing community, this event also did a lot to benefit ALS-TDI.
Raised $105,456 - The 3rd running of our Dave's Race HPDEs at Virginia International Raceway in 2021 again highlighted the generosity of the racing community by setting a new fund-raising record to benefit ALS-TDI and generated a lot of awareness for ALS. Thanks to all who helped!
Raised $220,000 - Our ALS Warriors withstood the heat and brought the fundraising fire to this year’s Dave’s Race 4 presented by Carolina’s Home Medical Equipment! This incredible group of racers were able to band together to raise over $220,000 for ALS TDI research to #EndALS!
